Carlee Russell made abduction-related internet searches before her disappearance

Carlee Russell, a 25-year-old nursing student from Alabama, disappeared after calling 911 to report seeing a toddler wandering near a road.

She made internet searches about Amber Alerts, local bus tickets, and the movie Taken before her disappearance. Two days later, she returned home and claimed she had been kidnapped by two people.

However, police found inconsistencies in her account and haven't been granted permission to interview her.

They revealed she made abduction-related internet searches and that her search history indicated she was preoccupied with the idea of abduction.

Russell described being kidnapped by a man with orange hair and taken to an 18-wheeler where she heard an adult female and a crying baby. She managed to escape twice and eventually returned home.

Authorities disclosed that she purchased snacks at Target before disappearing but they were not found with her belongings.

Surveillance footage showed her walking alone in her neighborhood on the day she returned home.

Police continue to investigate the puzzling incident and urge Russell to provide more information to fill in the gaps.
